Pirate Is Bringing a Pop-Up DJ Booth to a Secret Location in East London…
Showcasing the sound of tomorrow, 100 DJs are expected to perform throughout next weekend, including Pirate Residents and special guests. Headliners include re:ni, Scratchclart, and Angel D’Lite, with more to be announced.
Pirate, the world’s largest network of music studios, will set up a pop-up DJ booth in a secret Shoreditch location from Thursday, February 29th, to Saturday, March 2nd. Over 100 DJs are set to perform 15-minute mixes, with longer sets from Pirate Residents and special guests. Headline DJs for the weekend include re:ni, Scratchclart, and Angel D’Lite, with more acts yet to be announced.
The secret location has space for an intimate audience, but all guests must complete a free registration. After completing the registration, the pop-up DJ booth’s address will be sent by email.
DJs can still sign up to be allocated a 15-minute slot in the booth — all levels and genres are welcome, and every artist who performs will have the option to receive a multi-camera video of their set.
The Pirate pop-up DJ booth comes to Shoreditch following a successful launch at Boomtown last year, where over 700 festival goers signed up to perform.
On Friday, March 1st, from 7PM, Pirate will also open a second venue next door to the pop-up DJ booth for exclusive live performances from up-and-coming bands and solo artists using Pirate, including Harleighblu, Good Health Good Wealth, BINA, and The Oozes.
While both secret locations will have a bar and ID will be required when drinks are served, the pop-up DJ booth is open to DJs of all ages.
Pop-up DJ booth opening hours:
• Thursday: 3PM-10PM
• Friday: 1PM-10PM
• Saturday: 1PM-10PM
The goal of creating a space for emerging artists to perform is to take the Pirate experience outside the studio walls and into the heart of East London – showcasing the sound of tomorrow, here today.
The pop-up DJ booth arrives in Shoreditch on the same day that Pirate launches the 2nd iteration of their Residency programme — a talent development scheme that puts new artists on stage at gig venues and festivals and on radio stations across the country.
