[LISTEN] SOFT LIFE SKI’S SONGS TO SKI TO

As they kick off their 2024 trip to Hemsedal, Norway, Soft Life Ski aims to tackle the outdated notion that winter activities such as skiing have been seen as highly exclusive and reserved for a specific demographic. The team made a playlist for VIPER to showcase what they’ll be listening to on the slopes…

Asake – ‘Amapiano’

A must for the SLS playlist, intertwining Amapiano and his usual melodic, unique sound, this Grammy nominated collaboration with Olamide can take any motive from 0 to 100.

Tyler ICU  & Tumelo_za – ‘Mnike’

Amapiano song of 2023? Not sure we need to say much more on this one!

Shallipoppi – ‘Cast’

Shallipoppi teamed up with Odumodublvck with this masterpiece, taking listeners on a journey from start to finish. This song was one of the first tracks on our playlist, catching the attention of many across the globe with its edgy beat and stellar vibes.

Omah Lay – ‘Holy Ghost’

This song was an instant hit, topping the charts in 31 countries on Apple Music on release. Omah Lay notes that the song is symbolic of his “belief and fear for God,” with whom everything is possible, so we couldn’t leave this one off the playlist!

KCee – ‘Ojapiano’

KCee provides a truly extraordinary experience, with the traditional (Oja) flute stealing the show, providing a seamless blend of both Nigerian culture and modern sound. For my Amapiano lovers, get your best moves ready and meet us on the dance floor!! Ojapiano to the world.

Sarz, Asake, Gunna – ‘Happiness’

This harmonic banger immediately captivates listeners, bringing together an esoteric line up of Sarz, Asake and Gunna. But it works, it really does! The words “My life, no stress” will never ring more true than when we’re gliding down the slopes in the midst of the picturesque Norwegian Alps.

Rema – ‘DND’

After becoming the first African artist to reach a billion streams on Spotify, Rema has shown no signs of slowing down! SLS 2024 awaits us, employers across Europe should take a note from Rema and do not disturb!

Adekunle Gold – ‘Party No Dey Stop’

2023 was a great year for Adekunle Gold, kicking it off with this screamer. This song serves as a microcosm for SLS 2024, the party truly doesn’t stop!

Central Cee & Dave – ‘Sprinter’

The only thing cleaner than the cadence layered on the production were the visuals supporting the track! Central Cee and Dave going back-to-back on the song was akin to Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke putting on a show during Manchester United’s glory days; Who said the good old days were behind us?

Byron Messia – ‘Talibans’

Undeniably one of the biggest songs to come out from the Caribbean over the past few years. This one has continued to get the party going since its release!

Teejay – ‘Drift’

In its own right this song is a great dance tune, but TikTok took this one to the next level. Prominent DJs putting out remixes of ‘Drift’ has seen new routines being created, taking the internet by storm.

Gabzy – ‘Jambazz’
With his usual smooth and assured approach, Gabzy gave us one of our favourite UK tracks of 2023!

Sexyy Red – ‘Skeeyee’

This song is undoubtedly an SLS favourite. The word ‘Skeeyee’ is derived from St Louis slang and there’s nothing more appropriate given our origin. If you see me on the slopes and you’re tryna say what’s up? #SoftLifeSkeeyee

Muni Long – ‘Made For Me’

Honourable mention for my R&B lovers, this song has blown up all over the internet, trending on social media due to its simple, catchy chorus. Watch out for this one at our S.O.S event!
