A celebration of Y2K innovation and contemporary style, the New Balance 1000 roll-out continues at JD
JD, the leading retailer for sports, fashion and lifestyle brands announces partnership with New Balance for the re-release of the iconic 1000, in exclusive colourways – a bold revival of the Y2K-era design that first hit the streets back in 1999. Originally famed and loved for its forward-thinking style, the 1000 is making a comeback. Fusing the best of turn-of-the millennium fashion with modern streetwear sensibilities, the reissue is a statement piece for trendsetters and casual wearers alike, making it undeniably a latest must-have.
The New Balance 1000 reissue captures the energy of the late 90’s and experimental spirit of the early 2000s, channelling the bold confidence of Y2K culture. With its sleek silhouette, distinctive segmented sole unit, prominent overlay panels and nylon eyelets, the 1000 is anything but traditional. It pushes the boundaries of what ‘everyday’ style looks like, reaffirming New Balance’s ability to continually evolve while staying true to its roots.
A standout in JD’s line up of exclusive releases, its streamlined shape and sculpted sole offer a progressive look that bridges generations of style. Available in new and exclusive black, light grey/white and grey/white colourways, the New Balance 1000 is the perfect addition to your sneaker rotation, packed with versatility to suit any wardrobe.
The black, JD exclusive 1000 silhouette made a tease appearance at this year’s Santan Cup, an exclusive football tournament consisting of teams formed by the nation’s biggest star. The cup, which was held at St George’s Park, saw teams taking part arrive in full-look New Balance, finessed with the re-release, ahead of a full day of action at the home of English football.
Three new colourways of the New Balance 1000 will launch exclusively at JD Sports, available in the UK in store and online from Sunday 27th October.
