[STYLE] LEVI’S® AND JJJJOUND LAUNCH FIRST COLLABORATIVE FOR SS23
Levi’s® & JJJJound have announced the launch of their first collaboration, set for Spring/Summer 2023. The new collection features a mix of denim-inspired tops, bottoms, and accessories that reflects both brand’s shared commitment to quality, durability and minimalist design.
Launched in 2006, JJJJound started as a digital mood board to reexamine the recurring patterns in timeless design. With thousands of curated images, the cohesive visual stream has become a mainstay and reference for the global design community. Evolving into a collaborative design studio, the brand’s approach is centered around fabrication with purpose and longevity, the design & construction of meaningful physical environments and the continued curation of its digital world.
Few designs are as timeless as Levi’s® 501® Jean, one of the most enduring icons of style across the globe, which celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2023. What began as a patent for copper rivets on work pants in 1873 has transformed into one of the most iconic, democratic and influential pieces of clothing ever created. To commemorate this historic milestone, Levi’s® & JJJJound add another chapter to the story of the 501® in their first-ever collaboration.
The six-piece capsule features a range of apparel and accessories with light wash selvedge denim as the catalyst. Serving as a reinterpretation of timeless classics, each piece was meticulously constructed with elevated fabrications, precise componentry, & subtle branding, while maintaining the integrity and identity of both labels.
First up is the Utility Jacket, influenced by the Canadian military silhouette and offered in light wash selvedge denim with slanted chest pockets. The Denim Shirt which blends JJJJound’s classic oxford shirt with vintage Levi’s® workwear, equipped with classic chest pockets and copper hardware. Additionally, there is a classic Pocket T-shirt, offered in white and complete with a water-color inspired screen print graphic. Finishing off the apparel is the Levi’s® x JJJJound 501® ’93, a sophisticated refinement and expression of the classic silhouette, made with SHRINK-TO-FIT™ light-wash selvedge denim and finished with copper hardware, co-branded back patch, plus subtle branding elements.
Accessories include a 6-panel Cap, based on the JJJJound weekend hat, finished with light-wash selvedge denim, copper hardware, contrast stitching and JJJJound motif embroidery; A large canvas tote, this maximalist expression of the classic JJJJound bag is offered in all red and completed with copper hardware & branded plaque.
The Levi’s® x JJJJound collection launches worldwide on May 5th, 2023, and will be available for purchase on Levi.com, the Levi’s® App, select Levi’s® Stores, and JJJJound.com.
