London Mural Festival (5th – 29th September 2024) is thrilled to announce a creative partnership with global streetwear brand, A BATHING APE® (BAPE®).
This collaboration fuses the worlds of art and fashion to push the boundaries of fearless expression in London and beyond. Together, we honour a city renowned for being at the forefront of creativity, culture and street style. BAPE® CEO Mahmoud El Salahy states “We are excited to be co-creating with London Mural Festival in the effort to democratise art. Together we are bringing art to the streets to be in dialogue with the community. The Festival is a celebration of the creativity in our environment, and we are thrilled to be a part of it.” The partnership will feature activations throughout the festival and beyond including: MURAL REVEALS: Adding to the 100+ murals that London Mural Festival has planned across London, together we will be unveiling two large scale murals inspired by BAPE®’s signature camo and iconic silhouette – the Shark Hoodie – alongside their yet-to-be-released footwear, the SHARK STA®. Designed by the talented artists at Global Street Art, producers of London Mural Festival, these larger than life artworks will capture the artists’ unique lens on BAPE® and their own distinctive fearless expression. LAUNCH EVENT: Fashion, street art and music collide at A NIGHT WITH BAPE® x LONDON MURAL FESTIVAL. This celebration of fearless expression at the BAPE STORE® LONDON in Mayfair will feature a line-up of incredible artists including Pref, Rosie Woods, and Mr Penfold, live art, music and DJs from the likes of Pete Cannon, Chinese Daughter and more as the city kicks off London Fashion Week. ARTIST CONTENT CO-CREATION: BAPE® is celebrating the ethos of fearless expression with top UK street artist D*Face. D*Face will be returning to London Mural Festival with a large-scale permanent art mural in Camden showcasing his signature pop-art style.
