Today, China-based leading tech accessories brand PITAKA announces its first-ever collaboration with London-based luxury streetwear label Aries and No Problemo line to create an all-new luminous, woven phone case. The collaboration aims to break the boundary between fashion and technology, celebrated with a campaign shot by renowned photographer Lea Colombo.
Using PITAKA’s exclusive LumintexTM technology, the sleek and lightweight case seamlessly blends high-quality luminous yarn with aramid fibres, a high-performance innovative composite material. After absorbing enough light energy, the patterns on the case will glow in the dark naturally, creating a unique and vibrant look. Key processes include fusion weaving technology, an intricate process that weaves multiple coloured fibres on a single loom, eye-catching patterns and designs on aramid fibre cases are produced, maintaining the high durability and longevity. Made with aramid fibre, a material that is 5 times stronger but lighter than steel, the case features a super thin and light profile. It preserves the slim silhouette of the phone without sacrificing protection.
The collaboration capsule features the Aries signature and statement graphics across three different woven designs for the upcoming release of the iPhone 16 series release in September, followed by the iPhone 15 series. The collection also includes supporting accessories, including four Aries charms, featuring iconic graphics and slogans including the Aries temple and ‘No Problemo’, as well as an everyday wearable column carabiner phone strap and black over-the-shoulder phone pouch.
PITAKA and Aries call on renowned London-based self-taught Photographer and Visual Artist Lea Colombo, known for her unique vision and use of saturated colour in her work, Columbo captures the vibrant essence of the collaboration through her unique lens for the supporting campaign.
