[STYLE] COMME DES GARÇONS’ DECONSTRUCTED AIR FORCE 1 MID

COMME des GARÇONS’ deconstructed Air Force 1 Mid could be yours…

It wouldn’t be a COMME des GARÇONS show in Paris without Rei Kawakubo debuting a new Nike collaboration, would it? The Japanese designer did just that on their FW2020 runway. Unveiling a deconstructed Air Force 1 Mid, dripped in crafted premium leather, the brand once again proved their signature sensibilities match perfectly with Nike’s trainer silhouettes.

Their collaboration comes in two classic colour ways: black and an off-white/cream. CDG’s staple branding finds itself stamped on the velcro strap and insole, along with Nike’s infamous tick too. Naming the FW20 collection “Neo Future,” Kawakubo chose this trainer because of its undeniable impact on ‘sneaker culture’.

In the brand’s familiarly avant-garde style, the shoe excels in extraordinary design, but still maintains a highly wearable aesthetic. They could be keeping your feet dry from the wet winter months. Retailing at $270 USD, the trainers will be available in-store and online at Dover Street Market.
