[VIDEO] GHETTS X SKEPTA DR0P ‘IC3’ VISUALS.

Following the previously released ‘Mozambique’, which featured Moonchild Sanelly and Jaykae, Ghetts dropped more heat with ‘IC3’ featuring Skepta. The track’s title references the police code used to identify black suspects, and it comes off the Grime Don’s forthcoming album.

Going bar-for-bar over Ten Billion Dreams’ production, the wordsmiths reminisce on grime’s legacy, referencing sets on Class of Deja and their legendary collectives Boy Better Know and The Movement. A sample from Logan Sama’s iconic Kiss FM show on 1 September 2008, which featured Ghetts, Skepta and Kano, plays out the cut in formidable style, reminding us why grime remains one of Britain’s most triumphant underground sounds.

The rapper’s are on fine lyrical form and the visuals enhance their dexterity with equal finesse. Directed by Hector Dockrill and animated by Ruff Mercy, the video sees the lyricists draped in Italian heritage brands Stone Island and CP Company. Mercy’s signature illustrations overlay the artist’s in a devilish fashion and complete one of the best videos of the year. Don’t believe us? Click play above.
