‘GOODLOVE’ is a stunning collaboration from Jamaican artist, Runkus, and much loved UK producer, Toddla T, who first met four years ago in Jamaica. The platinum selling, Oscar nominated producer and rising, Grammy nominated songwriter have been creating music ever since. They’re joined on the song by an icon in both music and cinema, Ky-Mani Marley, whose husky vocals linger long after the first listen.
‘GOODLOVE’ is the follow up to the pair’s recent collaboration, ‘BIG CHUNE’, released in March. With the pair displaying perfect sonic chemistry on both tracks, we’re excited to reveal news of the forthcoming album from Runkus and Toddla T, ‘OUT:SIDE’. The project is set for release on May 20th, pre-order here. And with Notting Hill Carnival returning to London this year, we’re hoping to see the Jamaican musician making an appearance at Toddla’s legendary sound system over bank holiday weekend!
Until then, we’re blasting ‘GOODLOVE’, the perfect dose of sensual, smooth Reggae just in time for Summer. The visuals are striking, with Runkus and Ky-Mani Marley seen in front of a white backdrop, framed by velvet ropes. Directed by Tim Foresta and the Gs, the video opens with the quote “an exhibition by the GLvrs,” as the viewer enters a gallery space. Models decorate the space like works of art, as delicate, romantic lyrics are recited by the two vocalists.
