What’s your favourite mixtape ever?

Erm, I’d say ‘Dreamchasers’ by Meek Mill.

Why is it so significant to you?

I remember the stages of life when I was just trying to figure things out but nothing was going according to plan. But it felt like I weren’t alone or it weren’t just me that was dealing with the same thing.

Were there any artists or producers that you discovered through this tape?

Probably just Meek.

Where exactly were you when you heard the mixtape for the first time?

My good friend Suave had just moved into his uni accommodation but I weren’t at university yet. I’d visit but the walk from the station was long so I’d just play the tape from start to finish.

Did it come into your life at a significant time?

It did, I was trying to figure out exactly what I was about to do in life and chasing dreams and staying alive was the goal.

How did the mixtape cover make you feel?

I didn’t buy the tape, I downloaded it from DatPiff [laughs].

Did you have a physical copy?

Unfortunately not.

No? Which is your favourite that you have a physical copy of?

I don’t think I ever purchased a mixtape. I remember one of my friends let me borrow one of Giggs tapes but I don’t even think he bought it. 

Describe the mixtape in three words?

Pain, hungry and authenticity.

What song is your personal favourite?

‘Pain is the Essence’.

If you could put a price on this mixtape, how much would you pay?

You can’t put a price on that tape, it was too real for a figure.
