Global music platform and cultural curator Boiler Room and iconic global sportswear brand Champion
join forces on a limited-edition apparel collection that celebrates underground scenes and the artists that
define them. Titled Champion Sound, the collaboration sees three artists spotlight the genre they’re
renowned for through a selection of slogan-led designs that equally celebrate the classic collegiate
aesthetic synonymous with Champion for over 100 years. The brand’s classic silhouettes, like reverse
weave hoodies and tees, have transcended their athletic origins to become staples in the wardrobes of
ravers and Boiler Room regulars.
The Champion Sound collection will focus on three genres – Eurodance, Bloghouse and Guaracha. With
the genre text aligned to the front centre chest in the iconic collegiate font synonymous with Champion,
fans can wear their chosen sound and subculture with pride, celebrating the micro communities that
exist within them. The collection includes 100% cotton reverse weave t-shirts and hoodies with the
classic champion logo patch to the left arm and Boiler Room logo printed on the back of the neck for the
t-shirts and on the hood.
To bring Champion Sound to life, each genre has been paired with an artist that is renowned for that
sound. We have Italian Berlin-based DJ and Live From Earth affiliate Alcatraz representing Eurodance,
New York artist Doss representing Bloghouse and Colombia-born, Mexico-based artist Rosa Pistola
representing Guaracha. For the lookbook, these three artists have self-shot themselves in the collection,
in an environment that reflects their personal style as well as the world that the genre exists in. In
addition to this, there are genre-focused mixes from each artist to celebrate the collection’s release
which is now available to stream via Boiler Room’s YouTube and Soundcloud.

Amsterdam and DC — a long-term partnership that showcases the close synchronicities between music
and fashion through the sounds and artists that continue to move things forward.
