Anthony Van Engelen and Vans Skateboarding live by an ethos of “Always Pushing”—working to reimagine, redefine, and continuously expand the boundaries of what’s possible in skateboarding. Back in March, they launched Vans most advanced skateboarding shoe ever, the AVE 2.0. It debuted with a knit upper and returned this past week with its second slate of drops featuring all-new colorways. This time around, it’s swapped out the knit upper for a breathable mesh base bonded to RapidWeld™ suede and synthetic TPU.
To celebrate the latest AVE 2.0 iteration, Vans Skateboarding hosted the final chapter of its “Commitment to Progression” global gallery tour during Paris Fashion Week at the iconic Place De La Bastille following previous stops in LA, Shanghai, and Seoul. The moment hosted the local Paris community with a cash-for-tricks skate session, which saw the next generation of Parisian Skateboarders push the boundaries in the same way that AVE does.
