[STYLE] JEWELLERY BRAND JAMAIS VU INTRODUCES THEIR TAKE ON THE CLASSIC RING WATCH FOR “A MOMENT IN TIME”
Something a little different from me today – hint, it’s not footwear. Can you believe it?
I’d like to introduce Jamais Vu, a jewellery brand conceived by Canadian-Nigerian designer Dixon Fasola who wanted to combine elements of past designs with fresh interpretation.
Defined as ‘never seen’ – or, the opposite of deja vu – Jamais Vu utilises the recognised as a canvas for innovation.
Through sensory and emotional experiences beyond face value, Fasola is utilising imaginative twists to create entirely new worlds, whilst retaining that sense of familiarity rooted within society.
On this occasion, he opted to blend functionality with what was once an unquestionably innovative concept. The Ring Watch capsule coined “ A Moment In Time”.
Landing in six iterations, Jamais Vu took a design from the 1750s and made it their own. Setting the watch-face itself in a 18k gold-plated ring for Blush, Carmine, Mother of Pearl, Emerald and Gold Hour options or 326L Stainless Steel to house the Tiffany Blues. Each as beautifully finished as the last.
It’s worth noting that every ring watch features sapphire crystal glass, Swiss watch movement and water resistance up to 30 metres. Wonderful construction.
