In 1989, at the height of the running boom, New Balance introduced its most pinnacle running silhouette to date – the 1500, originally named for its price point. 35 years later, in April 2024, the brand returns to celebrate a legacy of elevated craftsmanship and precision design, with the limited edition 1500 Series Made in the UK.
Inspired by the brand’s rich heritage and precision engineering, this special edition pays tribute to New Balance’s enduring commitment to excellence. This Anniversary Edition marks the first of a series of new 1500 colourways due to release over the coming months.
The anniversary edition showcases luxurious grey nubuck paired with tonal mesh and synthetic details. The innersole and box sleeve artwork feature a heritage 1500 series style graphic, alongside a commemorative typographic mark reading ’35 Years of Excellence’. Today, each pair of Made in the UK sneakers is created by dedicated artisans from NB’s manufacturing hub, in the town of Flimby, in the northern region of Cumbria.
