[STYLE] KSUBI X JUICE WRLD 999

Global streetwear brand KSUBI launches its collection, featuring designs inspired by beloved global artist Juice WRLD with a campaign starring a line up of talent including Juice WRLD collaborator Trippie Redd.

A mercurial talent, Juice WRLD’s emotionally vulnerable style took him from SoundCloud to massive superstardom overnight. Winning fans the world over before his untimely passing, his legacy continues to resonate as one the most listened to hip-hop artists in 2022.

999 CLUB is the continuation of his story and creative output, with merch and music still being released to this date met by a rapturous response from his fans. Name dropping Ksubi in freestyles and songs, Juice WRLD encapsulated the Ksubi ethos of the Creative Outsider – a rebellious individual who did things his own way pushed to express himself via different avenues.

The limited-edition capsule collection will feature eight pieces across classic Ksubi denim fits, as well as hoodies and t-shirts. The collection was inspired by Juice WRLD’s artistic passion, with the artist regularly taking to his own denim pieces to draw on them and create individual pieces.

Shot by photographer Neri with video by renowned director Steve Cannon, the campaign features Juice’s frequent and loved collaborators including rapper Trippie Redd and producer Haan; as well as skater Boo Johnson, actress Jessica Belkin, artist Skye Morales, model Ashley Got and up-and-coming artist ZZZ who recently signed to Juice WRLD’s label.

Orchestrated by Juice Wrld’s manager and friend Peter Jideonwo, the collaboration is a way of continuing Juice’s legacy: “The collaboration with Ksubi felt natural – it was a brand that Juice had a connection with and had a real love for. Collaborating on projects such as this collection with Ksubi means that Juice’s creative legacy can continue, even beyond the music world. He loved to draw so being able to bring that into a fashion collection makes this collaboration even more unique and creates collectable pieces that his fans will love.”

The collection will be released in the lead up to Juice WRLD Day on 8 December 2022, a day dedicated to celebrating the late artist’s legacy and supporting the work of the Live Free 999 Foundation, set up by Juice’s mother in his honor. Himself tattooed with the number 999, Juice WRLD saw the number as a play on the biblical number 666 – referring to a satanic presence – instead choosing to see 999 as a personal mantra of taking all the negative in life and reversing it into something positive.

The Ksubi x Juice WRLD 999 collection will be on sale from 17 November 2022. The collection will be available to shop at ksubi.com, Ksubi stores, 999club.com and selected retailers including Kith, BrownsFashion, END Clothing, SSENSE and Culture Kings.
