[STYLE] PERCIVAL X HARRY LAMBERT UNVEIL NEW ‘NIGHTSHADE’ COLLECTION

British menswear brand Percival and fashion stylist Harry Lambert have come together for a new collection, inspired by the botanical term, Nightshade.

Percival and Harry Lambert have taken the definition of Nightshade literally in the production of this new collection. The colour of Nightshade is luxuriously deep and intriguing, while the term is also used to describe a family of edible plants. They even contain medicinal agents, or quite the opposite, you could be allergic as Harry Lambert is.

Shapes from the family of Nightshade characters; aubergine, pepper and old mate tomato, have been created throughout the collection in the form of embroidery, appliqué and prints.

The collection has been produced using hand selected fabric, with details down to the last button, complete with a smiley face. Oversized shirts in yarn dye poplin and textured jersey, and styled beneath knit mohair vests pair with wide leg trousers, which feature stay press pleats.

Outerwear includes some very limited edition boxy wool jackets with embroidery and appliqué characters. All pieces are created with luxuriously deep and intriguing fabrications and colours.

The collection plays up to what makes both brands so unique in their corners of the menswear market. Harry Lambert has found success as a stylist for some of the biggest names in the world of music, film, and sport; working with the likes of Emma Corrin, Josh O’Connor, and Harry Styles to name a few. His bright and bold stylistic tendencies fit perfectly with the Percival ethos, as the collection is playful and exuberant, and subverts the traditional expectations of menswear.

Chris Gove, co-founder of Percival, says of the collection: ’Working with Harry was a dream come true for us. I think this collection really symbolises what we are about as a brand, and it would not be possible without Harry’s brilliant eye for colour and design”.

Harry added: “The main goal was to make pieces that would become go to pieces in people’s wardrobes, with added twists like smiley buttons. This collection was really designed to be unisex and for everyone, and non-gendered with loose silhouettes”.
