DR. MARTENS UNVEILS NEW COLLECTION FOR SS25: There’s a Buzz in town. Dr. Martens new must-have collection inspired by the 90’s archive – it’s bold, bouncy and barrel-edged, with bubble branding to boot.
The new Buzz platform forms the foundation of a 5-eye lace-up. Blending classic DM’s accents with a chunky, comfortable sole and vibrant upper, the Buzz shoe provides wearers with a fresh footwear alternative for spring.
A statement leaf pattern features on the undersole, and the shoes are marked with Doc’s signature grooving pattern. Stitched with contours that echo the curvature of the sole and tagged with rubberised bubble brand patches, the Buzz shoe is fitted with padded ankle collars for extra cushioning alongside the trademark Doc’s bouncing sole construction and secured with yellow welt stitching.
‘‘The Buzz has a sporty, streetwear aesthetic that our wearers haven’t seen from us in recent seasons. We’ve seen a big shift in women’s footwear trends being heavily rooted in the 90’s and nostalgia, so it’s the perfect time to bring back elements of such a sought-after archive shoe. There’s a sense of physical elevation and confidence that comes with a big platform sole and we’ve added padding for extra comfort, so we’re really excited to see how they will react to the new style and make it their own.’’
Bridie Husband — Footwear Designer.
The collection is available in a variety of statement colours, patterns, and materials, including textured Hair On leather with a leopard print, soft Grizzly and Milled Nappa leather, and durable EH Suede.
Conceptualised and brought to market by a new generation of talent, making waves at Dr. Martens. The first Buzz drop is available globally, available online and in-store from February 2025 with more to come in future seasons.
Dr. Martens is a British footwear and accessories brand founded in Northamptonshire, England. Its first pair of boots marched off the production line on 1st April 1960 and was named after the date: 1.4.60.
With its classic silhouette and air-cushioned sole, the 1460 boot was initially chosen by workers and later adopted by musicians and subcultural pioneers who took it from street to stage. Over 6 decades later, the brand’s trademark yellow welt stitching, grooved sole edge, and scripted heel loop are instantly recognisable worldwide.
The factory where it all began still exists in the village of Wollaston, Northamptonshire. A small team manufactures a limited range of ‘Made In England’ products, crafting footwear that celebrates the materials and techniques of Doc’s heritage.
The brand’s other footwear categories and collaborations showcase an ever-evolving line-up of soles, silhouettes, and materials designed to put a bounce in its wearers’ steps. Each pair is crafted with durability, versatility, and individuality in mind — always inspired by the innovation and creativity underpinning DM’s design DNA.
