Lil Silva and Shy One, two of the UKs most exciting names shaped by their Caribbean heritage, are headlining Red Bull Selector, at Notting Hill Carnival, at Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park on Sunday, August 25th.

A brand-new, one-of-a-kind event, the stage is set to celebrate the best of West London and beyond, honouring the deeply rooted and beloved sounds of Caribbean music.

In addition to the headliners, the non-ticketed stage hosted by Faceinthenews and Fatz will feature a full lineup of unmissable performances, including dancehall queen Alicaì Harley, celebrated electronic DJ/producers Jordss B2B p-rallel, West London’s finest Izzy Bossy showcasing the best and newest in dancehall, UKG heavyweights Heartless Crew, lorded UK MC Frisco & DJ Oblig, three-time Red Bull Culture Clash winner Sir DJ Corey and Soca king DJ Tate with a very special guest still to be announced. 

To prepare the crowd for Lil Silva and Shy One’s sets, partygoers will be given red and blue voting tools. A screen behind the respective selectors will be split into red and blue halves. During the show, musical cues will appear on the screen – Original or Remix, Soca or Dancehall, Old School or New School. The crowd can wave the voting tool that matches their choice’s colour to decide the direction of the set.

Flipping the ‘no requests’ rule on its head, the concept gives power to the people, allowing the crowd to shape the set, creating a shared musical journey between the carnival crowd and the DJ. This one-of-a-kind event will be THE party of the weekend.
