Hennessy has linked up with South East London’s newest live music venue and food hub, The Queen of the South and cultural platform Cloud X to celebrate the individuals behind the creative music movement in South London.
Hennessy’s commitment to music is Globally recognised having been at the forefront of music culture and the drink of choice of many music legends from Nas & Stefflon Don. Hennessy is proudly committed to supporting and empowering new musical artists and the communities and ‘the South London Renaissance’ is yet another example of them empowering local London culture and giving them a platform to be heard.
Whilst many London music venues are either under threat or have closed their doors, ‘The Queen of the South’, has created an inclusive, dynamic and up-close-and-personal live music experience that celebrates the local culture and community. Throughout April the ‘South London Renaissance’ will run every Friday celebrating the brand-new music venue with the best Hennessy serves and a line-up of London’s rising artists & DJ’s.
Kicking off on 5th April with one of London’s biggest underground MC’s BAWO, followed up with live sets from; self-styled skin-head soul star ETTA BOND, cult rap singer FINN FOXELL, South London Rap Collective HOUSE OF PHAROAHS, British-Bengali singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist TARA LILLY. With exclusive DJ sets from; RINSE FM Boiler Room vinyl only spinner Peckham Legend ONEMAN, Reprezent Radio’s TEE ALI, Brixton Radio and Cloud X Resident JOJO, plus DJ Circuit Royalty & DJ Boss lady IZZY BOSSY.
