Atlantic Records celebrated their 75th Anniversary with a star studded event and exhibition in East London on Wednesday, December 6th…

The historic occasion was brought to life with exhibits in tribute to Atlantic’s past, while the future of the label was on display thanks to sensational performances from the likes of Mahalia, Kojey Radical, and Tion Wayne amongst others.

The event took place in Studio Space in East London, playing host to hundreds of people who were able to experience the impact that Atlantic has had over their 75 years as leaders in the music industry. Split across multiple rooms, items such as Stormzy’s crown and Ed Sheeran’s puppet from his music video, ‘Sing’, were on display, as well as a headphone wall that played some of Atlantic’s most iconic tracks from their history. There was also art from Nigerian artist Slawn, who this year became the youngest person to design a Brit Award.

The exhibition was made available to a group of school children and college students before the night started, as Atlantic hopes to inspire the next generation of musicians. As the evening progressed, a host of famous faces made an appearance at the event, making the party a star studded occasion. Ed Sheeran, Caity Baser, India Ria Amarteifio, ZeZe Mills, Paloma Faith, Dami Hope, Indiyah Polack, and the Sugababes were all in attendance.

There were also plenty of show stopping performances throughout the night, ranging from the soulful R&B tones of Mahalia to the vibrant Amapiano sounds of Major League DJz. Elsewhere, Girls Don’t Sync demonstrated their potential, while Tion Wayne lit up the stage with a cameo appearance. Kojey Radical also took to the stage, as well as Andy Purnell and newcomer Kai-Isaiah Jamal

Drinks were provided by Don Julio while food was also available from WingStop on the night. Atlantic Records delivered a fitting celebration for such an important milestone – celebrating their history whilst also showcasing their present and future.
