[NEWS] ROUGH TRADE’S FREE VINYL SUBSCRIPTION AHEAD OF RECORD STORE DAY 2023

Independent record store chain Rough Trade is giving music lovers the chance to win a year’s subscription to Rough Trade Club in the run-up to Record Store Day.

The competition winner will win a 12-month membership to the club, as well as a ‘Black Wax’ Coffee Box by roasting royalty Dark Arts and a ‘Pub in a Box’ from Signature Brewery. Dark Arts Coffee is served in the cafes at Rough Trade East and Rough Trade Bristol, while Signature is served exclusively on draught in all Rough Trade bars.

Rough Trade Club, refreshed for 2023, is usually available to customers for £30 a month for LPs or £15 a month for CDs and includes a copy of their Album of the Month, access to free domestic shipping, exclusive access to live events and online sales. The Album of the Month is carefully curated by staff and varies from the next chart-topper to a new discovery. Members who opt for the LP package get sent an exclusive vinyl pressing and both LP and CD memberships include exclusive bonus material. Recent examples of album picks include The WAEVE, Get Real by CVC and Where I’m Meant To Be by Ezra Collective.

Subscriptions are bought on a flexible basis and can be paused or cancelled anytime, with the option to swap the recommended album if you don’t like or already have it for anything featured in the Rough Trade Edit (up to the value of £24.99). On Saturday the 22nd of April, Rough Trade customers will be able to shop Record Store Day exclusive vinyl from stores in Bristol, Nottingham, East and West London and, for the first time, Soho, inside Rag & Bone’s Beak St. store at the heart of central London’s record store district.
