The Brooklyn rapper links with a local legend and embarks on a new era in his career…

Since Bobby Shmurda became a free man this Summer, we’ve all been waiting for news of new music. While his legal restrictions have limited him up til now, new music appears to be on the horizon.

This is suggested by news that the Brooklyn rapper has signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation. New music is set to drop within weeks, with two high profile performances, one next Sunday at Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2021, followed by Made in America in early September.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Shmurda confirmed that he’s inked a management deal with Roc Nation. The news came with the announcement of plans for an official documentary about his life story.
