[NEW MUSIC] FRISCO’S ‘RED CARD’

BBK cook up another classic on Frisco’s ‘Red Card’…

This is the first track Boy Better Know have released since ‘Gangstas,’ featured on Skepta’s 2019 album, ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’. Produced by Trooh Hippi, who’s been making several waves with his quintessentially UK instrumentals, ‘Red Card’ sees Skepta, Jammer, JME, Big Fris and Shorty all firing back to back verses over a visceral beat.

The visuals come via Chas Apetti, who’s worked with everyone from Kano to Krept and Konan. Grainy overlays and nocturnal effects put the focus on the grime collective, who attack the camera with braggadocios lyricism and dexterous flows.

Arguably, Shorty steals the show on this one as he rides Hippi’s production in a contagious manor. Spitting references from tweeting on the toilet, to flying out to Hong Kong, and BBK’s unrivalled influence on UK music. This is the third single off Frisco’s fourthcoming album ‘Familiar Stranger’ – set for release on October 16th. His previous single ‘Colours’ saw the grime pioneer linking up with Ghetts, D Double and Splurgeboys. If the album maintains the level of finesse these cuts share, then we are in for a treat!
