[EXCLUSIVE] LOUIS VI PREMIERES AUDIO FOR NEW TRACK, 'STATION WAGON' FT. DOZER CARTER

Announced as PRS Emerging Artist & hot off live performance for 1xtra at Maida Vale with Moses Boyd, Louis VI takes a purposeful step into a different realm that should be seen in the same light as Gambino going from ‘Redbone’ to ‘This Is America’ or Badu’s ‘Phone Number’ or J. Cole’s ‘KOD’. A true multi-dimensional rapper, bringing 7 mins of musical energy, he spoke on wanting to “let loose” his skills as a rapper, keeping to his Jazz style he’s becoming known for but in a trappy atmos, with a live instrumental breakdown featuring Paul Wale on bass & Pete Johnson on Guitar & 5 part country-esque harmonies from Louis himself.

Catch the track below.

The song is irony of identity in Hip Hop, a satirical piss-take on “flexing”, boasting about pulling up in a beat up “Station Wagon”. Co-produced by Dozer Carter it’s see’s the 2 OthaSoul members unite again. This both a turn-up & boundary pusher at it’s rawest that may just define a sound of 2019.
