ERICK THE ARCHITECT RETURNS WITH 1ST EVER JAMAICAN-FILMED VISUAL FOR ‘NO DOUBT (I’M IN LOVE)’: The Flatbush Zombies co-founder returns to his roots for a visual love letter to his motherland, accompanying his disco-leaning summer heater.
Musical polymath and founding member/producer of NYC’s legendary Flatbush Zombies, Erick the Architect, has returned with captivating new visuals for his recent disco-infused summer single, ‘No Doubt (I’m In Love)’, released via Mass Appeal.
Produced by Doja Cat’s longtime executive producer Yeti Beats alongside Latin Grammy Producer of the Year Federico Vindver, the track samples Jennifer Lara’s early-1980s Studio One classic ‘I Am in Love’. For the accompanying video, Erick took the cameras to Jamaica for his first-time ever filming on the island. Designed as a visual love letter to his motherland, the project bypasses cliché tourist tropes to highlight authentic Kingston subculture—showcasing yeng yeng bikes, mesh marinas, deep-rooted community, and a universal sense of love.
Accompanying the release, Erick published a personal photo series and essay reflecting on his experience, writing:
“I did not want Jamaica to become texture for my work while the people living there received nothing from the exchange.”
The video caps off an incredibly busy 2026 for the Brooklyn-born artist. Alongside collaborating with Apple on their keynote event in Cupertino, California, Erick was featured as a panellist and performer at GRAMMY House NYC, completed a writing camp session with Busta Rhymes, and joined Nas for a World Cup performance.
Whether delivering his 2024 debut solo album ‘I’ve Never Been Here Before’, supporting Jamiroquai across their European tour, or collaborating with global heavyweights like Jungle, Joey Bada$$, James Blake, and Loyle Carner, Erick the Architect continues to solidify his legacy as one of the most expressive and forward-thinking creators in modern music.
