This August, online global retailer boohooMAN.com is set to launch their latest co-designed collaboration with British rapper, Headie One.
Taking creative inspiration from his latest album ‘The Last One’, Headie worked closely with boohooMAN’s head of design to create a clean fashion forward streetwear collection centred around his own personal style and pushing the boundaries of UK street apparel.
“The timing was perfect co-designing this streetwear collection with Headie One, we have wanted to work with him for a while now. His talent, appeal, influence and dedication to music resonates with our MAN customer, making this collaboration a natural fit. “
— Samir Kamani – boohooMAN CEO
Headie One’s rise to fame has been fast yet not without validation every step of the way. Paving his way into the music industry, the artist drew inspiration from the soft melodics of hip-hop to create his signature bouncy sound coupled with acute wordplay. With his distinctive flow and catchy ad-libs the 29-year-old is known for his pivotal influence on British rap and is considered to be a pioneering innovator of the UK drill scene across the
globe, collaborating with some of the most prominent figures such as Stormzy, Central Cee, Dave, Skepta, FKA Twigs, Drake and more.
Consisting of 42 key looks, the RTW collection palette is crisp and neutral blending grey, chocolate, khaki & navy with accents of metallic silver. Fits are neat, with trickles of new fashion silhouettes and classic streetwear shapes. Fabrications are familiar with a futuristic twist – expect to see metallic nylons alongside sports scubas, jersey and mesh. The signature discreet ‘H’ details throughout comes with custom trims including zips and personalised graphics codesigned by Headie.
Sportswear tops spearhead the collection, with the Headie football shirt with centre front and back ‘01’ branding. Matching nylon sets also lead with interchangeable elements with the silver metallic sleeveless hood and matching shorts take centre stage with the repetitive ‘H’ topstich.
Slogan Headie tee’s and harrington collar tracksuits with tonal chest embroidery complete the collection alongside multi pocket detail on the grey and khaki gilet set made from airtex mesh and crinkle nylon.
“Combining the new album and fashion together was the focus for this collaboration with boohooMAN. We worked together to meticulously design and create a fresh take on streetwear aesthetics, I’m excited to see how the fans pull the looks together “
— Headie One.
