[STYLE] JISOO REVEALED AS NEW FACE OF SELF-PORTRAIT

London-based fashion house self-portrait unveils South Korean multi-award-winning musician Jisoo as its latest face...

Marking a series of firsts, the new partnership between the fashion house and global star is the first time self-portrait has worked with a musician to front its campaigns. It is also the first contemporary fashion campaign which Jisoo has appeared in, and the first project released since she announced her own agency, Blissoo.

Captured in Seoul by Yoon JiYong, the campaign celebrates the brand’s new Spring/Summer 2024 collection through a series of portraits capturing the strength, effortlessness and sensitivity of the self-portrait woman.

Han Chong, Founder and Creative Director of self-portrait said:

“Music has always played an important part in my life – it has been a universal language which has been a companion to me since I was very young, bonding me to communities from all around the world. Musicians quickly became a great source of inspiration for me as a designer – through their costumes, their chameleonic evolutions, and mesmerising performances. I’ve therefore always wanted to work with an artist who could transmit the values we hold at self-portrait and who represents the women we connect with globally. 

“We first started working with Jisoo many years ago, dressing her both on and off the stage, so having her front our campaign was a natural next step – it encapsulates the trajectory of the relationships we strive to nurture with those that we are fortunate enough to work with. Watching her journey to becoming a global icon has been so inspiring not only to me, but to a legion of fans. She is a role model to so many – kind, inspiring, sensitive and a pillar of strength – I wanted her beauty, both inside and out, to be front and centre of this first series of portraits we shot together in Seoul.”

Jisoo wears dresses from self-portrait’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, including a pale pink sequin mini dress with black trim and an orange and pink rhinestone embellished mini dress.

Jisoo follows in the footsteps of previous self-portrait faces including Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi Hadid, Naomi Campbell, Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid, Kate Moss and Phoebe Dynenvor.
