PUMA CELEBRATE THE SPEEDCAT, HOSTING AN ‘AFTERNOON SERVICE’ EVENT IN CELEBRATION OF THE NEW MULES
PUMA CELEBRATE THE SPEEDCAT: Puma brought style, cocktails, and desserts together for “Afternoon Service”, an intimate Shoreditch experience celebrating the launch of the NEW Puma Speedcat Mule. With fruity tea infused cocktails, sweet treats was a perfectly curated indoor and outdoor setting. The event transformed a classic afternoon tea into a playful and fashion forward spring moment.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and intentional. It was a luxury tea party, but with a Puma twist. Think less cucumber sandwiches and polite tea sipping, more fruity infused cocktails, beautifully curated desserts, subtle music through the space, and stylish people catching up in the sun. The indoor and outdoor setup really elevated the experience too, While guests moved naturally between the cosy interior and the open seating area, drinks in hand, soaking up the last of the afternoon light. It felt personal, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable.
The concept itself was a smart idea. Afternoon tea is already such a staple in London culture, but Puma flipped it into something fresher and more playful. Instead of traditional tea pots, there were alcoholic cocktails infused with fruity tea bags that somehow managed to feel both nostalgic and modern at the same time. Each drink felt carefully thought out, colourful without trying too hard, refreshing, and actually fun to experience.
Then the desserts spread was exceptional, which honestly deserved their own moment. Curated by Louis Thompson alongside Murder Cake, the spread looked almost too good to touch. Almost. From rich cakes to delicate sweet treats, the desserts stand became its own little visual centrepiece. It added to the immersive feeling of the event because nothing felt random or overly branded. Everything connected naturally, from the presentation to the flavours to the overall aesthetic of the afternoon.
And of course, at the centre of it all was the new Speedcat Mule. The shoe itself already carries that effortless off duty energy Puma has been leaning into recently, blending comfort with a sleek silhouette that feels easy to style. Seeing the mules being showcased as soon as you entered the venue made sense. The event reflected the shoe perfectly. Relaxed but elevated, understated but still attention grabbing!
What made the afternoon stand out most though was how easy it all felt. Sometimes launch events can feel overly structured or performative, but this was the complete opposite. It felt like being invited into someone’s very stylish summer gathering. People were genuinely mingling, laughing, taking photos, trying desserts, comparing cocktails, and enjoying the environment without feeling forced into constant programming. Even though it was a quick event, it still managed to leave an impression because of how well curated every detail was.
