HEAT Announces: The Ignite Prize, powered by FLANNELS: A series of financial grants for young entrepreneurs…
HEAT have been enlisted by FLANNELS as part of the retailer’s ongoing Youth-Phoria scheme (providing a platform for the next generation of ability and ambition) to lead a purpose project called The Ignite Prize; a series of young entrepreneur grants centred around digital-first business ideas from 18-25 year olds nationwide in fashion, innovation and circularity. With both HEAT and FLANNELS being born and bred in the North, the hope is to see some applications that highlight and support beyond-London brilliance.
There will be three prizes awarded (one in each category) that include; £10,000 financial grant, 1 year’s business mentorship from HEAT (Joe and Mario) and an opportunity to show up within the FLANNELS business.
Joe and Mario will be leading a judging panel of industry experts from those fields including; Michael Adex (CEO of NQ), Sam Ross (Founder of New School Represents), Tora Northman (Head of Tiktok at Highsnobiety), Sonika Phakey (Global Lifestyle Partnerships, TikTok) and Beckie Stanion (CMO, Frasers Group).
From 18th May, youth culture experts HEAT invite digital-first young entrepreneurs from across the UK to apply with either a business idea or an existing business in its infancy, in the categories of fashion, innovation and circularity.
The prizes launches under the umbrella of FLANNELS’ ongoing Youth-Phoria programme, championing the excellence and ambition of a new generation through a series of initiatives and cultural events.
The three winning businesses representing each category will be awarded; a £10,000 grant, a year of mentorship from HEAT founders Joe Wilkinson and Mario Maher and wider panellists, an opportunity to show up within the FLANNELS business based on the winning business’ needs.
The judging panel, led by Joe Wilkinson and Mario Maher, brings together a cross-section of business leaders in the fund categories; Beckie Stanion (Frasers Group, Chief Marketing Officer), Michael Adex (NQ, CEO & Founder), Sam Ross (New School Represents, Director), Tora Northman (Highsnobiety, Head of Tiktok), Sonika Phakey (TikTok, Global Lifestyle Partnerships)
