[FEATURE] 4BYSIX PREMIERE NEW ART-DRIVEN SHORT FILM
The change-driven art project, 4BYSIX is building bridges with fashion, music and art realms, challenging specific art collaborations to help address and change London’s homelessness issue is revealed with an intimate documentary-style video. Providing insight into how the project is pursued, narrated by the special individuals make it happen.
Collaborating with renowned and emerging artists from across the globe including the likes of Dave White, Chanoir, Dale Grimshaw, Shepard Fairey / OBEY Giant, The London Police, Nathan Bowen, Fanakapan, & many more, the leading duo of the project Alex Dawber & Milo Phillips give for an open-minded, and live and direct illustration of 4BYSIX and explains what we do and our plans for the feature.
The short film takes you on a journey leading to the chaotic bus yards as to which 4BYSIX secure real-life bus panels, parts, scrap metal and fond debris of London’s decommissioned TFL buses to reinvent as fine pieces of art, whilst changing a person on the streets’ life for the better. By dismantling panels, parts and features from the buses to hand-over to artists to curate something truly unique is also a first of its kind in the art world.
Filmed in May this year, directed by videographer, and cultural activist Oisin Deady and produced by TwelveAM, 4BYSIX decided to debut the up-close and reality focused video ahead of an anticipated second gallery exhibition at West London’s famous J.M Gallery (Portobello Road W11). All artworks sold at the official 4BYSIX Gallery exhibition & online via exclusive auction will aid a scale the charity-led project, support and offer a warm hand to London’s increasingly worrying homeless community.
Using creativity for good is a limitless concept, 4BYSIX want to take this far beyond what they have, not only helping homeless people in London but curating art connected to all sorts of good causes around the world.
