TAKE AN OFFICIAL LOOK AT THE OFF-WHITE™ x AIR JORDAN 4 “SAIL”
Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ and Nike have continued their coveted collaborations throughout 2020 with a selection of Jordan re-interpretations. First we saw Benji B’s club night, come record label, Deviationm auction an autographed pair of the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 4 “Sail” at $187,000, with all proceedings donated to the Black Curriculum and Inquest U.K.
Now official images have surfaced of the Louis Vuitton figurehead’s latest Nike venture, accentuating all the intricate detailing we have come to expect of his sneaker silhouettes. Detailing the signature “SHOELACES” callout on all three colour options, “AIR” in black on the midsole and semitransparent mesh over the upper provides that off-white, deconstructed eccentricity Abloh has become so consistent with.
Prior to the arrival of COVID-19, Nike was planning a host of hyped collaborations, as part of their campaign for the Tokyo Olympics. Matthew M. Williams, Sacai, UNDERCOVER and Virgil Abloh were all set for shoe releases with the sportswear giants. While we may have to wait a year to witness such designs, it is nice to see Off-White™ continuing to deliver their originality through 2020.
Currently, the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 4 “Sail” is set for release on Saturday, July 25 in sizes exclusive to women.
