PARTYOF2 INTERVIEW: In the vibrant, ever-evolving musical landscape of Los Angeles, a dynamic duo is rewriting the rules of what Hip Hop can be. PARTYOF2 unites the distinct heads and hearts of Jadagrace and Swim around one fluid, forward-thinking perception—one where boundaries simply don’t exist. Get familiar…
What five words define your sound?
Dynamic, Cathartic, Genreless, Energetic, Fearless.
Tell me something unique about your creative process.
Most of the time Jadagrace focuses on the melodic instruments in a song and SWIM will do the
drums. We spend a lot of time playing with ideas on our own, and then we come together and try to
blend all of those ideas together.
Which song of yours would you like people to hear first?
‘Friendly Fire’
What inspired you to make that song?
We wanted to pay homage to the Hip Hop we grew up on and also poke fun at each other.

What’s the most vulnerable you’ve allowed yourself to be when writing/making music?
Definitely when we wrote ‘All 4 The Best’. We just let our thoughts flow and didn’t filter anything.
What’s the best/worst experience you’ve had on stage?
We had a show in Seattle with Tobi Lou and our DJ’s computer died in the middle of our set. We
spent the rest of the set doing a freestyle cypher and it actually turned out great. One of our best
shows.
What is your favourite song to perform?
Right now, it’s ‘POSER’. The energy of the second half of the song makes it impossible not to go crazy.
Which artist/song/album made you want to make music?
For SWIM it was Kendrick Lamar, ‘GKMC’. For Jadagrace it was Beyonce, ‘I Am Sasha Fierce’.
What’s the meaning behind your name?
PARTYOF2 is about finding solace within the music. It’s not only about Jadagrace and SWIM taking
on the world together, but also about unity. As long as you have music, you’re never alone.
If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing instead?
Making movies.

What’s success to you?
Success is being happy and healthy, and being blessed enough to pursue your dreams. The
numbers and stats don’t fulfil us half as much as turning an idea into reality does.
What moment in your life/career forced you to change direction?
Early 2024 when we went from a trio to a duo. It was a shocking and scary change for us, but we’re
so grateful for it. If things didn’t go the way they did, we would never have become PARTYOF2.
Where can people keep in touch with you?
