NEW NANAMICA SS25 COLLECTION [STYLE]

New Nanamica SS25 Collection

New Nanamica SS25 Collection: For the 2025 Spring/Summer season, Nanamica is pursuing even greater comfort by advancing our efforts towards “Heartwarming Life-Tech wear.” We categorise our offerings into two scenes +1 in daily life and propose ways to make every day more comfortable. We cherish the ocean, and aim to minimise the environmental impact of our manufacturing processes. We propose functional and beautiful standard items that provide comfort.

This season’s colour palette is inspired by ocean landscapes. The transition from deep navy to blue and sax represents the changing colours of the sea in different environments. The light beige, reminiscent of dry sand, is complemented by accent colours of coral pink and coral green, adding a pleasant touch that feels just right for the spring/summer season.

Scene 1. OOAL / ONE OCEAN, ALL LANDS: Blown by the Sea Breeze
On days off, I just want to spend time feeling comfortable. We have prepared comfortable clothes that suit such a sea. The hooded jacket, made from 65/35 Bayhead Cloth, a signature of OOAL, features a distinctive design without armholes. It has a ray form  with loose fit and a functional and beautifully balanced finish. The reversible windbreaker has the same silhouette. One side is made of jersey material, giving it the soft feel of a knit when worn as is, and it looks like a sweatshirt jacket when turned inside out. This series is accompanied by the artwork of picture book author Ryota Ushikubo, which invites you to the sea. We knitted a sea sweater using 100% recycled polyester Lily yarn. It is light and dries quickly when wet, making it perfect for spending time by the sea. Every spring/summer season, we introduce the Palaka shirt and the Nanaloha  shirt. The checked shirt, woven with fine cotton/polyester core yarn and slub cotton yarn, has a worn-in feel. The Nanaloha shirt, made with cotton/polyester core yarn, features unique patterns dyed individually by artisans using traditional ‘itajime’ dyeing techniques. The coexistence of high-tech functionality and craftsmanship within a single product is another interesting feature of the OOAL scene.

Scene 2. HEADING TO THE OFFICE: The Freedom of the Breeze
The theme is comfort for creators who work in the city and love the sea. Nanamica’s signature waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX products introduce items using ePE (extended polyethylene) menmbranes, which eliminate PFCs (organic fluorine compounds) that harmful to the environment and human body. This is part of nanamica’s ongoing efforts to be environmentally conscious. Additionally, the 3-layer PERTEX®️ coat designed for travel comfort features a 2-way design that allows for adjustable lengths to accommodate weather changes, and matching waterproof cargo pants made of the same material. From the highly sweat-absorbent and quick-drying KODENSHI®️ ALPHADRY®️ series, we propose a set-up suit with multifunctional pockets. The ALPHADRY®️ for women features a slightly dropped shoulder box silhouette Utility Jacket paired with high-waisted pants that have a wide silhouette falling straight to the hem.

+1. ANY TIME WORKS.
Breaking down various boundaries, the concept behind Nanamica’s standard is to create simple, versatile clothing that people can freely wear and enjoy. These items are designed for long-lasting use. This season, we continue to pursue functionality and environmental consideration within the scenes of everyday life, crafting simple yet slightly refined designs that distance themselves from trends and are easy to care for. Our aim is to create items that you will grow attached to and use for as long as possible. We have used a rare loop wheel knitting machine to create reversible sweat suits. The outer side features core yarn made of organic cotton and recycled polyester, while the inner side is made of randomly piled terry fabric knitted with organic cotton, giving it a three-dimensional texture. We also made selvage denim using vintage shuttle looms, with the warp made of slub cotton/recycled polyester core yarn and the weft made of cotton nep yarn. Using this hybrid denim, we crafted wide silhouette 5-pocket pants that are simple in design yet easy to move in due to thoughtful pattern-making.

One Ocean, All Lands(The ocean is one and the world is connected) No matter how much change comes with the times, the fact that we share one ocean with everybody in the world will remain unchanged. We really want to keep this beautiful ocean. We hope that you can be in touch with the ocean together with the relaxed clothes of OOAL, and let the kind, pleasant feeling warm your heart.

We hope you can tune into the rhythm of Nanamica.
