Sustainable streetwear brand Broken Planet delivered their second drop of the AW24 season, releasing their ‘Moon Phases’ capsule collection. The new range sees a return of some fan favourites as well as continued innovation across multiple styles, and was released on Sunday 10th November at 8PM GMT.
Led by partners Lukas Žvikas and Indrė Narbutaitė, Broken Planet have enjoyed a huge rise since their inception back in 2020, becoming one of the fastest growing streetwear brands worldwide. Focussing on capsule collections in limited quantities, all of their releases in 2024 have sold out rapidly having built a loyal community over the last four years. celebrated a homecoming to the owners homeland of Lithuania with a wildly successful pop up, and also collaborated with UK Rap superstars D-Block Europe on an album and T-Shirt bundle that saw them secure a number one in the Official UK Charts.
‘Moon Phases’ sees the long awaited return of the Broken Planet Polar Fleece in navy blue. The highly requested fleece features panelling, sun dome embroidery on the front and back, and an upgraded double-coiled zipper. Elsewhere the Falling Stars Hoodie returns in a cool grey colourway, as well as a restock of the heather grey Planet Knit and the womenswear Ribbed Knit in washed blue. The restock of the Ribbed Knit is also testament to co-owner Indrė Narbutaitė’s vision to create fresh takes on womenswear in addition to their menswear and unisex items.
The new collection is not just about revisiting past pieces, with Broken Planet continuing to deliver innovation in multiple other areas. ‘Moon Phases’ features Cuffed Sweatpants with Broken Planet’s first ever zip pockets, as well as a signature Puff Print Hoodie in midnight black paired with matching straight-leg sweatpants. Moreover, BP have included a split-design Puff Print zip-up with matching cuffed sweatpants in emerald green, as well as a wide-leg denim design in indigo blue with brown stitching and an embossed sun logo on the back pocket.With celebrity admirers ranging from SZA and Kehlani to Jude Bellingham and Giovanna Ramos, Broken Planet have become an inescapable presence in global streetwear and this drop continues their meteoric rise.
