[STYLE] VIRGIL VAN DIJK MODELS RAINS FOR VOGUE

Liverpool & Netherlands Captain Virgil Van Dijk Makes Modelling Debut

Footballing superstar Virgil Van Dijk is set to make his editorial debut in Vogue Scandinavia’s February/March issue. The iconic Dutchman, with his chiselled features and statuesque build seamlessly swaps the football pitch for the photo studio in a 10-page editorial.

The shoot accompanies a profile of Philip Lotko and Daniel Brix Hesselager, the founders and masterminds behind Rains, one of Scandinavia’s leading brands and exports. Tapping
Virgil for the shoot is a natural extension for Rains, counting him as a friend and muse
of the house. Organised via text, the shoot took place near Manchester, UK, on one of Virgil’s rare off-days away from Kirby and Anfield.

Rains co-founder Philip Lotko:
“Virgil represents a lot of good values and ones I see in us. He’s a leader on and off the pitch, a family man and trying to be the best in what he’s doing. To be able to work with Virgil because of the common values we share is a huge and honourable achievement.”

Virgil Van Dijk on Rains:
“Rains combines different aspects into one. It is very fashionable and of its time but it can also go to the next level. It’s there for everyone.”
