J GRREY INTERVIEW: UNFILTERED CREATIVITY, CLOSURE & ARTISTIC FREEDOM [2026 EXCLUSIVE]
J GRREY INTERVIEW: J Grrey opens up about spontaneous creativity, stage mishaps, and making music on her own terms.
Whether she’s laying down soulful tracks or keeping things candid on social media, J Grrey moves at her own rhythm. Driven by sampled beats, rich instrumentation, and a free-spirited approach to writing, her sound is as captivating as it is authentic. We caught up with Jgrrey to talk about her favourite live moments, the power of getting clean, and where she’d be if she weren’t making music.
What five words define your sound?
Sampled, instruments, stoned, free, loose.
Tell me something unique about your creative process?
There isn’t one, it comes over me like a sneeze and sometimes music is made and finished.
Which song of yours would you like people to hear first?
‘I am runt’ ft M Huncho
What inspired you to make that song?
Patience and closure.
