1. Kofi Stone, Mahalia – ‘Sicily’

Representing a landmark moment for British music this autumn, Kofi Stone links up with Mahalia on ‘Sicily’. Over a warm, nostalgic boom-bap rhythm laced with dusty jazz keys, Stone delivers poetic, laid-back verses that complement Mahalia’s effortless, silky vocal hook. It is a masterclass in UK hip-soul storytelling, oozing warmth and sophistication from start to finish.

• Sonics: Warm boom-bap drums, dusty jazz piano chords, rich bass tones, smooth UK rap cadences, and honeyed R&B vocal hooks.
