What five words define your sound? 

Chaotic, Versatile, Energetic, Hard, Modeskool.

Tell me something unique about your creative process.

We never have a set process for writing, we just go with whatever happens in the moment.

Which song of yours would you like people to hear first? 

‘Mandem Nah’.

What inspired you to make that song? 

Being outside, The rave culture in London and generally wanting to solidify ourselves as rappers on a old school Hip Hop kinda beat.

What’s the most vulnerable you’ve allowed yourself to be when writing/making music? 

We are always vulnerable in the sense that we don’t really hide anything, BUT we try not to take ourselves too seriously and have fun in the booth as well as keeping it real. It’s important that our emotions can be felt through the lyrics. 

What’s the best/worst experience you’ve had on stage? 

Hollo had a trouser zip malfunction during our set at Download and the fourth member of Frozemode fell out. Luckily none of this was caught on camera.

What is your favourite song to perform? 

‘Making It Up’

Which artist/song/album made you want to make music? 

Gatz – ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’
Hollo – Sneakbo
Lisong – Kendrick Lamar

What’s the meaning behind your name? 

When we were trying to come up with a name about something ice related, the name Frozemode came up and just sounded cool.

If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing instead? 

Acting (Hollo and Gatz) Onlyfans (Lisong only)

What’s success to you? 

Always changing. Whenever we succeed at something we just set ourselves new goals to aim for.

What moment in your life/career forced you to change direction? 

In the early days, just seeing a reaction from people outside our circle show proper interest in our music gave us the drive to continue it seriously
