The first version was introduced via a Vans Skateboarding x Palace collaboration in 2023, with the office-inspired campaign fronted by Vans and Palace skate team riders Rory and Brady. For Spring 2024, the London-based duo have updated the silhouette with their personal design touches. The Safe Low is a new vulcanized skate shoe inspired by iconic Vans styles from the archive.
Rory and Danny’s Safe Low is available in two colourways – Rory’s all-white leather and Danny’s sky-blue style. The shoe has custom artwork from each skater, with Rory’s shoe featuring art by his friend and Palace artist, John Knight.
The shoes feature Ghillie laces and a sock bootie for ultimate comfort and a locked-in fit. The collection also features an accompanying classic white t-shirt inspired by a vintage tee Rory found emblazoned with the word “safe.”
