Celebrating Vans’ latest partnership with Wasted Talent…

Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, have joined forces with Wasted Talent – the leading Pan European media platform and boutique on two signature shoes, a wetsuit boot and a limited range of premium apparel.

Wasted Talent was founded in 2016 by a close-knit group of aperitivo enthusiasts with a penchant for surfing – hailing from all over Europe but residing in their adopted corner of South West France. Born from a desire to do something different, Wasted Talent was born on a dusky summer’s evening by a collection of minds yearning for a deeper, thought provoking insight into the subcultures they inhabit and identify with.

What started as a small scale print magazine, has now grown into Europe’s leading surf and skate media company, with a retail store and café in Hossegor. A true point of reference and cultural beacon for the European surf scene. It’s with this proud European heritage that the collaboration with Vans is born. With a campaign shot in Lake Como, a playful nod to the Dolce Vita of years past this is an elevated partnership Vans are beyond proud to be a part of.

The footwear collection features a fresh take on the classic Sk8-Hi and Slip-On. The Sk8-Hi is constructed from light canvas, with a luxe 3D embroidery of Wasted Talent’s logo, as well as a tonal subtle brand emboss on the midsole. The Sk8-Hi is complimented by the equally classic Vans Slip-On in Blanc de Blanc with a rubber toe cap for maximum skateability and embroidered logo.

Apparel wise, we’re backing up minimal tastes with an off-white t-shirt with a tonal logo patch and Checkerboard print. For when the sun dips and the evening cools, a black tonal hoodie with a subtle logo hit should satisfy the most demanding of tastes. The collection is rounded off with blanc de blanc socks – because pour quoi pas.
