Nando’s Mix It Up Vol. 3 EP drops tomorrow, just in time for summer. Featuring international artists A$AP NAST, Teni and Unknown T, and South African producers Duppy, Nkulee and Toby Franco, the EP is Nando’s third music release.
Mix It Up Vol.3 has been Executive Produced by award-winning producer, singer and songwriter; Musa Keys. It’s a true celebration of one of the biggest cultural movements to come out of South Africa (since Nando’s) and a genre that is sweeping dancefloors and charts across the globe, Amapiano.
Recorded and produced between Nando’s sponsored Flame Studios on Constitution Hill in Johannesburg and Nando’s Soho recording studio in London, the EP embodies Nando’s brand belief that ‘Life’s Better When You Mix It Up’. International cultures and music styles come together on the tracks to embrace the Piano genre – a genre that’s constantly evolving, and champions collaboration and experimentation.
On Mix It Up Vol.3 the infectious rhythms of Piano meet the raw US rap of A$AP NAST, the mesmerizing lyricism of Nigerian artist Teni, and the distinctive UK Drill tones of Unknown T. Believe us when we say these tracks will make you want to move.
Now in its third year, Nando’s Mix It Up project in partnership with non-profit, South Africa-based organisation Bridges For Music was set up to celebrate Nando’s South African heritage and platform emerging music talent. Mix It Up shines a light on the incredible sounds coming out of the South Africa and global music scenes, whilst driving Nando’s broader initiative to change lives through its connection and influence within music in the UK and SA.
