[RECAP] SKYLA TYLAA @ THE WINDMILL, LONDON
After an explosive 2023, topped off with a star-studded headline event in Lagos in December, Skyla Tylaa launched her Scream Tour.
The UK-based Amapiano DJ toured Europe and America in early Spring, with shows in Stockholm, Prague, Berlin, Boston and Los Angeles. Throughout the tour dates she played sets for the likes of Rihanna and Wizkid. Last weekend the London-born international DJ brought South African vibes to the capital with her debut headlining show, ‘Sky Nights’ at Soho’s ‘The Windmill’.
From the moment VIPER set foot inside The Windmill, we were greeted by a palpable sense of excitement and anticipation. The air clearly charged with the unmistakable energy of music lovers eager to lose themselves in the hypnotic beats permeating the space, as sounds played from Skyla’s openers DJ L.A.J, Harriet Bella and DJAY K3.
Once Skyla emerged for her set, the crowd was full of fuel to set the night off. With celebrity friends from Wizkid to Stefflon Don and Darkoo all in attendance, she had all the ingredients for a sensational event. With an audience that matched the energy of the DJs, Skyla’s crowd participation and slick blends enticed bursts of electrifying routines throughout the night, adding an extra layer of excitement to the show and elevating the party to new heights of exhilaration.
