ERICK THE ARCHITECT ANNOUNCES 2ND ALBUM
To celebrate the announcement, Erick has unleashed 1 powerful new single, “YERR”, bringing together three distinct eras of New York Rap. The track features Wu-Tang Clan legend Ghostface Killah alongside Harlem’s rising star Fergie Baby.
“I wanted to do some New York shit. I had to go to Harlem and hit up Fergie Baby, had to go to Staten Island and go get Ghostface Killah. When I made this record, we had to have at least three different eras of Hip Hop.” — Erick the Architect
ERICK THE ARCHITECT ANNOUNCES 2ND ALBUM
Self-produced by Erick, “YERR” kicks off as an instant club anthem driven by skittering hi-hats, heavy bass kicks, and menacing pitched-up notes. Erick and Fergie Baby trade rapid-fire verses before the production takes a dramatic turn, shifting into a slowed, nostalgic East Coast beat tailored for Ghostface Killah’s unmistakable entrance.
The release caps off a landmark year for Erick, which included collaborating with Apple for their Cupertino keynote, performing at GRAMMY House NYC, and sharing the stage with Nas for a World Cup performance.
AFTERBURNER is available to pre-save now, with “YERR” streaming on all major platforms.
