EVENSON UNLEASHES DEEPLY PERSONAL DEBUT ALBUM ‘EVE’ | JULY 2026

EVENSON UNLEASHES DEEPLY PERSONAL DEBUT ALBUM ‘EVE’: Written during solitary cabin retreats, the Connecticut-born alternative artist examines identity, heritage, and vulnerability across a cinematic ten-track project.
Rising US alternative artist and creative visionary Evenson has officially delivered his highly anticipated debut album, EVE, released via VERO Music. Written largely during solitary cabin retreats in the woods, the ten-track record marks his most intimate and revealing body of work to date, blending atmospheric alt-pop textures, soul-infused melodies, intricate vocal arrangements, and deeply confessional songwriting.
Led by the focus track “Retrograde Pt. 1”, the album explores identity, love, family, masculinity, and self-realisation. Deeply informed by his Haitian heritage—which the artist describes as a guiding light of resilience, courage, and dignity—EVE seeks hard truths over easy resolution. The project’s sonic journey is matched by a stream of striking visual releases directed alongside Japanese-American filmmaker Justin Kaminuma (known for work with The Cure, YUNGBLUD, and Disclosure), including official videos for “Trading Places”, “The Way I Feel”, and “Retrograde Pt. 2”.
Speaking on the release, Evenson shares:
“This record is a culmination of my life. It’s 28 years of experience. The ebbs and flows of the human condition. A confrontation with self; not only the good, but the darker parts too.”
A central highlight of the album is the two-part “Retrograde” sequence, where “Retrograde Pt. 1” deliberately unfolds after “Retrograde Pt. 2” in the narrative chronology. By playing memory in reverse, the pair of tracks captures both the birth and unravelling of a relationship through subtle, quieter moments. Across the rest of the tracklist—from the opening self-reckoning on “The Beginning” to the smooth pop-funk pulse of “The Way I Feel” and the soaring strings of “I Ran So Far Away”—Evenson builds an immersive world rooted in sincerity and emotional clarity.
Having already amassed over 3.5 million Spotify streams, alongside support from Wonderland and Flaunt, Evenson continues to solidify his position as one of the most compelling new storytellers in alternative music.
EVE is available now on all streaming platforms via VERO Music.
