Described by him as a blend of Intentional, Vibrant, Global, Rhythmic, and Uplifting elements, ADH’s sound is deeply rooted in personal experience and a drive for timeless impact.

What five words define your sound?

Intentional, Vibrant, Global, Rhythmic, Uplifting.

Tell me something unique about your creative process

I write my music in the car primarily. I go for a drive, play a beat, and let it speak to me. All of my ideas start in the whip.

Which song of yours would you like people to hear first?

Off this project? I would say the very first song is ‘Les Almadies’. It tells the story of where the sound is currently, how it got there, and where it’s going.

What inspired you to make that song?

Honestly, the bass in this specific song spoke to my soul. I wanted to create something timeless and impactful. Intros to my body of work are always important to me. It sets the tone.

What’s the most vulnerable you’ve allowed yourself to be when writing/making music?

I’m vulnerable in every song I write. Some songs may not come off as emotional. But I have to tap into a space of vulnerability to give my best self musical. Nothing is fabricated in my sound.

What’s the best/worst experience you’ve had on stage?

The best experience I’ve had on stage? Too many! Being able to perform with my band is an experience in itself. It’s something about bringing the music to life. Through live sound. It’s a different feeling. Always an amazing experience. Worse? I think it was mid-performance in the cord from my mic fell out. I kept going until I got it plugged back in. The crowd definitely appreciated that.

What is your favourite song to perform?

No stress. So many layers of sound.

Which artist/song/album made you want to make music?

Jay-Z, ‘The Blueprint’.

What’s the meaning behind your name?

Always Dream Higher.

If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing instead?

I think it would be positioning other artists for success. Whether it’s through mentorship, A&R’ing projects. Connecting dots for people.

What’s success to you?

For me success is impacting the present, past, and future through my sound. I want it to be timeless. I want when people hear my music, they feel empowered, inspired, and seen.

What moment in your life/career forced you to change direction?

Having my first born son. It changed everything for me. I had to move with more purpose. I had more to work for. He brought the absolute best out of me.

Where can people keep in touch with you?
