CÔTE&CIEL PRESENTS SS25: Renowned for their versatile and transformative bags, côte&ciel return this season in an explorative investigation into its symbiotic relationship with nature. Titled MIMICRY, their latest Spring/Summer 25’ campaign is an ongoing research project with UK based creative platform, Orienteer Mapazine, diving into the phenomenon of transformation found within a biosphere.
The entire season will see them revisit this theme through various mediums including photography, videography, sound, and print. Part 1 invites us into an ethereal editorial where nature has taken back over. Bags and their transformative capabilities are placed within a habitat which reflect their own adaptations, and nature itself becomes a reflective symbol of the nuanced design that can be found in each iconic piece.
Like a cocoon to a butterfly, the PO is a brand new crossbody bag that unzips to become a wearable vest, the VIKOS, a compact spherical bag that expands in volume and transforming to a small duffle as if it were a growing organism, and returning favorites such as the ORNE offer stored mesh exteriors to be pulled out and covered over the bag, reminiscent of the overgrown textures of nature and the benefits this provide to a habitat.
As pioneers within bag design, Spring/Summer 25’ is a reminder of côte&ciel’s unwavering dedication to their original, evolving vision. As they continue to defy the changes in trends and expectations, they continue to offer playful and progressive designs that fulfills a purpose.
