Vans Skateboarding proudly partners with Dime to reanimate an archival favorite – the Rowley XLT, as part of the brands’ inaugural Reanimation Series that brings Vans Classics styles to life. The silhouette will be available as part of a Vans x Dime Pop-Up event in Paris from September 29 until October 1, 2023.
One of the most coveted styles in Vans Skateboarding’s archives to this day, the Rowley XLT is a 100% preserved replica of the original that nods to the rise of Y2K, shaped by the influential minds at Dime. Dime requested a pure reanimation of the navy colorway as well as an exclusive Dime Birch colorway, featuring elevated monochromatic color blocking, with Rowley XLT and Dime custom logo across the silhouette’s heel counter and tongue. The tech remains true to 2001, with a durable full synthetic nubuck upper, lightweight cut & buff EVA midsole, custom stabilizing [ROWLEY] heel clip and all the upper padding you forgot was in there.
Dime was born in Montréal from a common thread between a group of skateboarders to exercise fun and creativity. Beginning in 2005, Dime established itself with its skateboarding video projects as a company known for its humor and innovative concepts. In 2015, the Dime Glory Challenge elevated skateboarding events to a new standard with its uncompetitive style and broad, relatable appeal. Following the same ideologies, Dime opened its flagship store in Montréal and evolved into a clothing brand sold in finer skate retailers and fashion boutiques worldwide.
As part of the Vans Skateboarding x Dime Rowley XLT launch, Dime will host a pop-up shop on September 29 and September 30 in a custom-built storage container that doubles as a replica of the brand’s Montreal store. A launch party on September 29 from 7-11 p.m. will also be held at the pop-up location, Fluctuart, 2 port du Gros Caillou, 75007 Paris, France, featuring live DJs
and drinks. The party will be open to the public. On October 1, the container will arrive at its final destination where a mystery skate spot will be revealed.
The Vans Skateboarding x Dime Rowley XLT exclusive colorway will be available beginning September 29, 2023, at the Vans x Dime Paris pop-up and through DimeMTL.com on September 30. The navy silhouette will be available beginning October 5, 2023, at select Vans Skateboarding retail locations.
