VIPER PRESENT

Arkansas’ rising storyteller, YTB Fatt, is gradually becoming a notable name in the Rap game, earning co-signs from Lil Durk, Rod Wave, Sexyy Red, Rob49 and Summer Walker. Get familiar with this VIPER interview…

What five words define your sound?

Hard, emotional, real, money-making, icey.

Tell me something unique about your creative process?

Everywhere I go, I have my engineer and producer, Frenchie, with me. He produces most of my songs and he’s like my Metro Boomin for all my songs. He knows exactly what I need to make the best music.

Which song of yours would you like people to hear first?

Definitely ‘Same’. I went through a lot to get that song put out and it really shows what my new music boutta be like.

What inspired you to make that song?

I just been trying to get in the studio and talk about love. My audience is really getting into my love music.

What’s the most vulnerable you’ve allowed yourself to be when writing/making music?

Probably making this one ‘Same’, since it tells a story about how me and my bro have interest in the same girl. When I’ve been spittin bars in the studio, I’ve started having really important people in my life around me. That really pushed me.

What’s the best/worst experience you’ve had on stage?

Best experience is either going on tour with Rod Wave or hearing everyone sing my song at a sold out show. I ain’t got a least favourite experience on stage.

What is your favorite song to perform?

‘Get Back’ or ‘Same’, everyone sings those songs.

Which artist/song/album made you want to make music?

Moneybagg Yo, that’s my day one. He brought me up in this music world and his work ethic is like no one else.

What’s the meaning behind your name?

YTB means Young Track Boy. I used to run track. Fatt is my nickname.

If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing instead?

I’d be doing something in entertainment. Comedy, acting, somethin’ like that.

What’s success to you?

Hearing everyone singing my songs at shows and making sure my family is happy and healthy.

What moment in your life/career forced you to change direction?

When I met Bagg. He showed me that if I really put my all into this music thing, I can take care of my family and change people’s lives.

Where can people keep in touch with you?

Instagram (@ytbfatt) and my DSPs under my artist profile YTB Fatt.
