Leading streetwear brands ADWOA and Trapstar are set to release an exclusive, limited edition collection that celebrates the forward thinking styles of both brands. The new range is set to drop on the 19th of April, with the collection being exhibited at a launch party on the 18th.
ADWOA is a rising label founded by Dagye that has helped shift the culture of streetwear and fashion since its recent inception. Blending strong silhouettes with graphic motifs and a stone washed aesthetic, the brand has already become a favourite to UK Rap heavyweights Lancey Foux and Nemzzz, as well as elite footballers from Paul Pogba and Eddie Nketiah to Eduardo Camavinga. ADWOA stands for ‘A Day Without Angst’, but also doubles up as the name of Dagye’s mother.
Trapstar meanwhile have become ingrained in UK culture since arriving on the scene in 2008. Their iconic ‘T’ logo and typography has become instantly recognisable across a multitude of collections, and has been worn by everyone from Rihanna and Cara Delivigne to A$AP Rocky and Stormzy. The link between Trapstar and UK music culture also cannot be underestimated, becoming synonymous with every iteration of UK Rap over the last decade.
This collaboration therefore sees two of the most exciting names in UK fashion come together to create a collection that complements their respective approaches. ADWOA are undoubtedly one of the most exciting newcomers to streetwear for some time, while Trapstar have established themselves as one of the forefathers of UK fashion for the best part of 15 years. These two brands have clearly elevated one another, culminating in a powerful collection that is sure to grab attention in multiple facets.
