What five words define your sound?

Futuristic, Experimental, Ambient, Mystical, Vibrations.

Tell me something unique about your creative process.

I simply convert energy to create art. If I feel bad, I don’t wallow in the feeling; I convert it to create something good, and then I can feel good.

Which song of yours would you like people to hear first?

‘Pretty Babes’ for now. It covers some major dynamics like my switching and random madness. I call it random madness because it’s almost unbelievable and would make you lose your mind in the feeling.

What inspired you to make that song?

Women. All types of women, but mostly black women. They should be worshipped; they are goddesses. I mean, men are gods, but men would fight nations over a queen. That says it all. It’s also how they should see themselves, special and self-sufficient.

What’s the most vulnerable you’ve allowed yourself to be when writing/making music?

I can literally get trapped to get the feeling of being trapped. You can’t get that feeling if you’re not trapped, and you can’t pass the experience into music if you’ve not really felt it. But I learned how to mimic a situation. I have a very potent mind; I can believe things. I learned that when I discovered most of the experiences I wanted to have wouldn’t be mine.

What’s the best/worst experience you’ve had on stage?

None! Every experience was necessary to build The Vybe in me. I expect anything when I’m on stage. I’m situationally intelligent, so I can always find a way to understand the experience even if it’s much later and learn from it. It’s like a child falling while learning how to walk; falling is not bad in that case; it’s the process of learning how to walk.

What is your favourite song to perform?

This is a hard one! But ‘Pretty Babes’ has that energy! I love being energetic! It’s the African nature in me! The beast I unleash! The vibe magician!

Which artist/song/album made you want to make music?

I would say Fela Kuti! But no one really made me want to make music more than the feeling of freedom that music gives me.

What’s the meaning behind your name?

It’s simple. Radar means direction, X is Xtraordinary, and X is 10 in Roman numerals. I do numerology, and you know 10 is X.

If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing instead?

So much, maybe just traveling and making a living off it. I love life and living freely! I write movies too; Sci-fi and poetry.

What’s success to you?

Success is freedom and being able to do what you want when you want to.

What moment in your life/career forced you to change direction?

Every moment! I wanted to change my family, and I wanted to live how I want! Have my own community of people who share similar views! You need money for that! Forced me to look at music from the business angle too!

Where can people keep in touch with you?

Everywhere. Instagram, TikTok: @radar_xtraordinary. Twitter: @iamradar_x
